FWIW, there are some details about Lexmark and open source at http://www.linuxprinting.org/lexmark-faq.html#free_software_support (not the most glowing review... and I don't think the Optra label is used anymore) The business lasers all talk postscript, so you should be able to print just fine on Linux.
