Eugene Smiley: It actually says on screen that it includes salary and benefits. It's amazing what companies group into the benefits catagory these days such as "Unemployment Insurance" AKA Unemployment Compensatio The figures also are inflated by the payment employers have to make to Social Security and Medicare and if the accounting is detail attentive enough to the cost of parking provided to employees along with a wide variety of other little things that the employee will never get taxed on or get to spend. If Verizon were being an honest purveyor of facts, it would list the average and median take home salaries of the union workers, then an average and median health and benefits cost. _________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.netisland.net/mailman/listinfo/plug
