The best way to get familiar with Linux is finding a job that will
pay you to learn it :-)
I'd like to find one of those, Alex. Any suggestions? :-D
My first linux paying job was working/researching for a theoretical
chemist. The guy I worked for is amazing at Chemistry but didn't like
Linux. He hired me so he and his grad students could learn more about
Chemistry and less about programming.
Then I sweet talked him into paying for a beowulf cluster and then I
learned how to assemble computers AND run a beowulf cluster :-)
