RE: [PLUG] apache + php + mySQL


Is this what people are using these days?
You would recommend jumping right into this?
I have considered that i probably should teach myself java.
And considering this is the Linux world, I can download a J2EE compiler for
free?

I would recommend PostgreSQL instead of MySQL because it allows for
stored procedures. J2EE is extremely nice for webpage development.
There's a large learning curve, but the power and speed are worth the
effort.
