I have to say that my company recently moved from ArcServe to Veritas and the difference is amazing. It is just as expensive as ArcServer but well worth the cost. I researched open source alternatives and found the options seriously lacking. Veritas tech support was extremely helpful setting things up, and since we have not had any problems. We are running Windows, Linux, Solaris, Exchange(win), Oracle(win, lin, sol) and it isable to tackle every combination without problems. We arent running SQL server here but Im sure it is able to backup that data as well. jeff said: > My job uses the brand most experts recommend - Brightstore/Arcserve. > When my boss told me that most experts recommended it, I told him that > most people use Windows and buy Madonna cd's - this does not indicate > the quality of the product. > > This software is the most poorly-written piece of dung I have ever come > across.
