I was referring to a generic, milder, off-list reprimand from an official list admin, and did not mean to link that to your email or imply you were an admin. > Let's not actively alienate people for (potentially) honest mistakes, eh? Perhaps I did overreact a bit, if the leaving in of the PLUG sig was unintentional. Then again, when you're top-posting, how can you tell what's way down there on the bottom of the quoted message? > (Incidentally, I note that you didn't cite your quotations, Greg...) No, I usually do not unless there is some ambiguity involved. If I am replying directly to a poster, I usually rely on the "In-Reply-To" header and the context of the thread. It is a good practice however: I'll try to abide by it more in my PLUG postings (rare though they are). Let me test it out: Gabriel claimed in an earlier email: > I don't care if you run every email through rot13 I ran this one through rot13 twice, hope that's okay with you too. - -- Greg Sabino Mullane greg@turnstep.com PGP Key: 0x14964AC8 200406172154 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- iD8DBQFA0kyAvJuQZxSWSsgRAk0xAJ97wpaKIbl+CNbvhrIa5w9K5IQ+aACfRdIl F43QqjPT47zBBIGZQAZOKdA= =XQBc -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
