Tobias,

That's awesome. I know Errol and Rex well, though I've only been at V for 3 mos. now. I work under JB and took over from a guy named Maulan, if you knew him.

Yes, I go to the JUG regularly. Great meeting place! Pretty grandiose for our needs, however. JUG also has the advantage of being sponsored by corporate entities like BEA and Sun Microsystems, so that helps them defray the cost of the meeting hall and the food, etc. I think our group is a long way off from any type of corp. sponsorship...and considering that it's a BSD group, unlikely there would be any commercial support ever (unless all those firewall appliances running the BSD kernel want to give something back to the community. ;) )

I was meaning to contact John Lewis for some tips...now that you've mentioned it I think I'll see what advice, if any he can give.

Thanks for the input...and hopefully we can meet up at the LUG and you can give me all the dirt on my co-workers. ;)

Dave
