-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi PLUG, I hope this isn't too far o/t, please disregard this message if it is. A couple colleagues and I are starting a *BSD users' group in the area. We're looking for a place to meet and are looking for suggestions on how best to go about finding a decent (free) meeting place that would ideally provide a projector and some (or one) Ethernet drop(s) for any laptop users/presentation machines. We'd be a pretty small UG compared to you guys. At this stage there are about 5 of us who've pretty much committed to attending, and I wouldn't count on many more than say 15 people at any time in the near future. The initial plan is to meet on a monthly basis. I work at Villanova and inquired therein, but was asked to provide a $1,000,000.00 insurance liability certificate and a $100. fee for the room (for half a day), which does not meet our "free" requirement. So my question to you, PLUG, who were once a tiny group of enthusiasts in the same position we are, can any of you recommend how I might go about finding a meeting place that meets our requirements? Any good anecdotes from when you guys were in your inception? Thanks for any pointers/advice...and if we ever get this thing off the ground, I hope some of you would attend...you'd all certainly be welcome.
