Packet 8 looks like the bomb. I have been looking into this and it looks
real good. Get a small APC like earlier recommended and BAM! Done. It's just
as reliable as a reg phone.

Vonage generally works. There are cheaper choices like that offered by
Packet8 for $19.95 per month and seems to have about the same quality as
Vonage. Just be sure you still have an actual landline phone.
