Re: [PLUG] I don't get it. What's the big deal with putting the response on top?

The standard answer to this stuff is:
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
    A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

My personal feeling is that top-posting loses context and encourages
people to not trim their replies. If you use mutt or other email clients
designed for threaded conversations, there is usually a button or key
that takes you straight to any non-quoted text. Outlook does not appear
to have a feature like this, but that is not surprising, given the number
of other problems with it.

My advice to you is to use what you like, and write how you like for
the most part, but be aware that many people have strong preferences.
When you are asking for their help, the "when in Rome . . " attitude
will go a long way.
