This morning I read the thread about top posting and bottom posting and
all of the rest.  The name calling along with the other items should not
be a part of this list.

It is my undersdtanding that we are here to encourage and help those who
are in need.  We offer our wxpertise as a service to help the new Linux
user grow in both expertise and style.  As the new user becomes more
adept with Linux and all of the other flavors of UNIX they will
eventually see the wisdom of seeing why we bottom post for the most part.

When you resort to name calling you are making us all look childish and
petty.  Let's get back to encouraging the new Linux user or the Windows
user who might be considering using Linux in a dual boot system.

Many of us who have been around since netaxs and Avi Freedman remember
when the 2.0.0 kernel was a brand new thing and we were helping new
users set up their ppp chat scripts so that they could use Linux on the
Internet.  Helping others get the most out of Linux is what we do best.

In the past 10 years we have seen plug grow to a highly respected LUG
around the world.  We do not know who might be looking at our archives
and considering switching to Linux or some other flavor of UNIX like
OsX.  We have gained our position by helping those who need help with
their system setup.  We have become recognized for our expertise with
computer security and gpg.

So let's stop the petty arguments and name calling and get back on track
with helping those in need.  Also lets encourage those who need
encouragement with setting up their systems.
