I do very little gaming but IMO, you can't go wrong with ATi. Almost all of their cards work with DRI/DRM on Linux and they don't generally require external drivers, either, which means you probably have support for them lying around waiting to be turned on. Also, for the same price point, ATi is generally a little bit better than NVIDIA (for video cards). Check out eBay or NewEgg.com and sort by lowest price first; you should be able to find a Radeon 7000 or something similar for what you are looking to spend. - -- Tobias DiPasquale 202A 04C4 2CE6 B985 8520 88D6 CD25 1A6C B9B5 1595 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (Darwin) iD8DBQFBfNvwzSUabLm1FZURArqEAJ45E0OOO8kgTe/r0iE6Jo0NcMaC1gCfVwo1 MvShhco0qRb0grwj4bInTjI= =hk1a -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
