IMO, you can't go wrong with ATi. Almost all of their cards work with DRI/DRM on Linux and they don't generally require external drivers, either, which means you probably have support for them lying around waiting to be turned on. Also, for the same price point, ATi is generally a little bit better than NVIDIA (for video cards). Check out eBay or NewEgg.com and sort by lowest price first; you should be able to find a Radeon 7000 or something similar for what you are looking to spend.

I could sell you a Radeon VE, which is like the 7000 with dual-head output. I know it works under Linux. It's AGP 2x with 32MB RAM.
