Good God man! What are you trying to do, start a flame war?!?! :) If you're just getting started, RedHat, Suse, Mandrake, Fedora, or just about any other RedHat variant are each pretty easy to deal with. As far as sound cards go, you can find them for about $10 online just about anywhere... Linux supports most of them.. but as always, check first. I have various AC97-compliant devices... and some ESS1371-based cards... have also had good luck with Crystal-based cards... E John Desmond wrote:
