Not much. TLS is just a newer version of SSL.

Further testing with FileZilla has shown "FTP over SSL" to work flawlessly while "FTP over TLS" ran into problems during file transfers and deleting files. Odd.

Comcast doesn't have instructions on using encrypted FTP, and the Live Chat person isn't trained to handle such requests. Heh. They did, however, offer some general info and links to clients that support SSL.
