Not much. TLS is just a newer version of SSL.

The server doesn't appear to support TLS at all; ie,

theall@garlic>openssl s_client -connect upload.comcast.net:21 -tls1
CONNECTED(00000003)
15640:error:1408F10B:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_RECORD:wrong version number:s3_pkt.c:286:

With SSL2, I get a connection, although it appears to hang after that,
which might simply be a function of using s_client rather than
FileZilla.
