Re: [PLUG] [OT] DSL Advice

Verizon's incompetence is not limited to residential type service. In March, I was setting up DS-3 service (MCI) for a company out in KoP. Verizon was supposed to deliver a ready and tested line to MCI by 4/01/05. When MCI got the hook up we were unable to establish stable connectivity. We went back and forth for almost two weeks. Verizon even had the nerve to insist that I go and buy some BNC connectors to setup a loop so they could test it from their remote office and not have to send out a field technician.

And think, Verizon wants to buy MCI. Actually, that might increase quality of service - since it can't get any worse under the existing setup.

This seems to be Verizon's MO. They're supposed to
provide access to their competitors, but they don't
seem to do so with great haste.
