Re: [PLUG] "Current" Linux on old laptop

Well I downloaded them all, but I only burnt the first 4 or 5 for now... I
reburnt the first disc and sure enough it starts properly now. The issue
I'm having now (And I've had someone look at this with me and they're just
as baffled) is that I made boot floppies from the images on CD1, booted
from them, and yet it STILL insists on trying to install from the network,
which doesn't work because the boot floppies don't like my pcmcia card. Am
I missing something? How do I tell it NOT to go out to the net for
installation files? I know it can see/mount the cd, so why does it need
the network?

Thanks
Marc
