Ok, I'm a bit confused about what is happening. Does the computer crash or
reboot? There's usually a huge difference between the causes for each. Or
does it crash, and then reboot?

I'm not familiar with afio, but a quick look on the website seems to show
a rather old setup. They mention 2.2.9/2.4.19, rh 4.2-7.3. These are very
old systems, and if you're using 2.6 chances are it's going to not work
properly.

If the system crashed my guess would be that the SCSI controller is
getting confused and is causing a kernel OOPS. If it's rebooting, it might
be accessing some data on your hard drive, and causing a reboot.

You might want to increase the debugging in your kernel, as well as for
your SCSI controller.
