It might be a good idea to save your bookmarks, completely remove all traces of FF, then do a fresh install of FF 2.0. I haven't had a problem with FF 2.0, although I don't use it much since it's on our laptop. We have 1.5.0.8 on out PC, just because I haven't bothered to upgrade.
