For Linux I would stick with stock as much as possible, therefore I prefer ext2+ext3.

Note: This is just my opinion, no benchmarks -- just speaking from experience.

If only this was as simple now as it was a year or two ago, when Reiser4 was
shaping up to be the clear winner.
