I used to take Amtrak from Philly to BWA.  The train ride is nice, but Amtrak rapes you if you're going along the east coast.  For example, my round trip from BWA to PHL was $150.  My girlfriend's round trip from Lancaster to PHL was $30. 

On the up side, the window seats have power outlets available for laptops, chargers, etc.
