Re: [PLUG] cable modem and a distribution amp

I don't know. I hate it when I don't have full access to my own equipment.

I put the terminators on my unused amp outputs. No change. Although, using the loose end of the cable connected to the TV as a signal sniffer, I found that the terminators do cap off the signal if only because they are metal caps. Also, I can detect a stronger signal radiating from the older RG-59 cable compared to the newer RG-6 cable. (Expected.) The RG-59 also radiates from the twist on connector while the RG-6's connector doesn't radiate much. I guess to the degree the cables radiate a signal they are also equally susceptible to interference. Unfortunately, it seems like more of the interference is generated or amplified by the amp! heh

My motorola used to work on that IP (meaning I go to the IP and page
loads). Now it kicks me straight out. The page loads, and then
redirects me off with an error page. I have to stop the page load to
see everything. Do you know if Scamcast remotely upgraded them?

thanks,
Amul
