Art, I would definitely recommend Fedora or CentOS if you are thinking about RedHat. If you choose "Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Desktop" it will cost you more in the second and subsequent years because redhat forces you to have an updated subscription to get updates. Fedora does not. CentOS does not. Nor does Microsoft. Therefore: a RedHat product will cost you more in the long run. WARNING:: POSTER IS BIASED AGAINST REDHAT. TAKE WHAT HE SAYS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT!!! ;-) Sean C.
