I just ordered DSL at work for testing purposes.  The rep suspects we're 
only good for 3M.  No one mentioned FIOS but I don't have much of a need 
for that capacity.  She asked me how many static IPs I wanted - I told 
her one and it didn't have to be static.

I can't help but wonder what kind of ride I'm in for.
My brother ordered home DSL and after a month or two, still didn't have 
a working line.  We all use evil Comcast now.


To be fair, I love Verizon's wireless service, so long as I don't have 
to call for service or talk to humans.  My Treo has been humming along 
happily for 2 years with nary a dropped or fuzzed call.
