[PLUG] Hello!

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1

Figured I would introduce myself. I recently moved to South Jersey and
PLUG seems to be the most worthwhile LUG in the area ;). I've been
using Linux for close to 15 years. Started pre 1.0 in late '93, 0.97 if
my memory serves me.

In those days it was Slackware that I used. Since then I've taken brief
forays into the RedHat (pre 8.0) and Gentoo worlds. The last 3 or 4
years have been Debian and Ubuntu all the way.

I've worked for Linode.com a Virtual Private Server provider since Feb
or '05. The boss and I just recently moved to South Jersey (he grew up
here) to join the employee already here to open an office. Work stuff
is, of course, all Linux based. I manage the monitoring, backups, and
code repository infrastructure as well as assist in system admin work,
troubleshooting, sales, billing, development, etc.

I am active in both the Open and Free Technology Community (OFTC) and
Software in the Public Interest (SPI, the legal parent of Debian, OFTC,
and others). I've also contributed in the past to a number of open
source projects.

Linux is a large part of my daily life both at work and home. I am
married with a three year old son. My wife is not afraid of a Linux
computer and though she currently uses a Mac with OS X, in the past her
primary computer has been Linux based more often then any other
operating system. My son loves penguins on anything, including the
computer, he spends a great deal of time in TuxPaint and pytoddler.
