RE: [PLUG] Hello!

Just for the record, and per e-week not sure where they got their data don't have the latest print version front me. But they say linux server sales are tanking and windows server sales are on the rise.

Please draw no personal conclusions from this just presenting the facts as e-week see them.

welcome! we have a presentation on Tuxdroid coming up tomorrow night. i'll
(hopefully) make it out there (it'd be my first PLUG event). maybe we'll see
you there?
it's nice to have another veteran on-list! the kernel went GPL in '92, so
that should give you an idea how long you've been with it. not to make you
feel old or anything. :)

In those days it was Slackware that I used. Since then I've taken brief

gentoo is my baby.<3 but i'm also a huge fan of debian.

I've worked for Linode.com a Virtual Private Server provider since Feb

wonderful! it's so great to see advocate companies for linux, ESPECIALLY
hosting companies. it seems the hosting industry is under direct attack by
that-company-which-i-daren't-speak-its-name.

(at the risk of bringing up a sensitive subject in this list, haha...)
i'm glad the wife isn't afraid of linux! we need more linux chix.

and if your son loves penguins, (how old is he, by the way?) then you can
DEFINITELY benefit from the tuxdroid presentation! in case you don't know
about it, http://www.tuxisalive.com/ (sound loads, so you may get strange
looks if you open it at work)
