If you go to http://www.v-system.net
you will find my Kerio mail server web login on port 80 running on my Power
MAC. Do a reverse lookup and you will get a Comcast address. The mail server
sits behind a Sonicwall 1260 Pro, and my Comcast modem is a Moto Surfboard
SB120 bridge. I think on at least some on these devices that the web interface
built into the device for configuring it may interfere with an internal web
server. Just a thought.
The RCA cable modems really suck because they need to be rebooted
every time Comcast makes changes to their network as there appears to be some
poor or incompatible dhcp implementation on board.

ii dunno bout that. when i set
up a webserver on comcast, port 80 was blocked but the second i switched it to
8080, it worked 100%.
(now WHY on earth would they block 80 and not 8080? that's just silly if you
ask me.)

everyone hates him, and he's just in it for the fame and money.
