If you have another PSU to try with the mobo, try it. Could be something up with PSU that doesnt give enough power to the board/system for it to actually start up.

I would check to make sure that your Power Supply->MB cable is secure.  It might be secure enough to provide power, but not enough to receive the signal to power up from the power button.
