Does the cpu fan spin? Are there any beeps? If so how many? Do you have a multi-meter to check the supply as well as the switch? Drop any screws on the motherboard?

I would check to make sure that your Power Supply->MB cable is secure.  It might be secure enough to provide power, but not enough to receive the signal to power up from the power button.
