[PLUG] Dell and Hardy Heron?

Did anyone ask about support and upgrade path to Hardy Heron during the
recent Dell Linux preso?

I'm going to be buying about 4 new Dell machines, running Linux, pretty
soon. Especially since HH will be LTS, that's what I want. But I don't
want to wait several months after HH release for Dell to support it.

Does anyone know a) when Dell will be shipping HH on Inspiron 1525N and
530N (or better) machines or b) if GG --> HH upgrades are supported and
transparent? 7.04 --> 7.10 was explicitly supported, which is a good sign.

http://www.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/linux_3x?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
and http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_7.10 don't address this
and http://linux.dell.com/wiki/index.php/Ubuntu_8.04 is empty. Any
other/better resources?

Thanks,
JP

Microsoft has single-handedly nullified Moore's Law.
Innate design flaws of Windows make a personal firewall, anti-virus
and anti-malware software mandatory. The resulting software arms race
has effectively flattened Moore's Law on hardware running Windows.
