Easier, get one that is firmware upgradeable and edit said firmware and remove acknowledgment splash screen.  IMHO just a matter of time, it should be an easy hack to.

more of a PoC than anything, but you could get a eeepc and hack it into a makeshift GPS... might even be cheaper if you get the 2gb surf model eeepc.

yes, it's an odd idea. no, i don't think i would use it myself. yes, i probably would only want to do it because i'd love doing that hack.
