So I got clearance from my employer to obtain a RHCE cert. I took a self-assessment on the Red Hat website for the RHE033 Red Hat Essentials track, which informed me that my knowledge at this level is spotty. Naturally, this was a bit disappointing! I thought it would be more sensible as a Systems Admin to pursue the RHE133 System Administration certification track, but now I am uncertain what I should do. I would imagine that the RHE133 track would prove to be a more robust and portable certification to obtain from Red Hat, and while I am a fast learner, I want to ensure that I pursue a certification track that both guarantees success as well as portability/longevity for a Systems Administrator. Any recommendations from the list gurus would be most appreciated.
