[KSB2] No, they were pretty much the same. Hardware wise, the dongle plugs directly into a USB port, and the Crackberry needs a USB cable. I suppose I could have used Bluetooth, but I didn't try. Software wise, they were identical in that both were done through ppp, as in pppd call xxxx vs. pppd call yyyy to initiate, and killall pppd to terminate. I didn't use the Crackberry enough to test speeds - I convinced myself that I had TCP/IP connectivity, but as soon as I fired up the browser, it took me to the tethered sign up page. -- Bhaskar ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
