I love windirstat. This and a few other useful windows tools are listed here http://groups.google.com/group/Windows/web/useful-tools-for-windows?msg=ns for those of us who still must use windows :) -----Original Message----- From: plug-bounces@lists.phillylinux.org [mailto:plug-bounces@lists.phillylinux.org] On Behalf Of Tim Allen Sent: Thursday, December 18, 2008 9:21 AM To: ugaritebla@gmail.com; Philadelphia Linux User's Group Discussion List Subject: Re: [PLUG] The wonders of WinXP Two useful tools for people who run into similar problems with XP: (1) WinDirStar (Google it, free, open-source). This sorts directories and files by their size. You can run it from an external drive, easily, and find space hogs on your hard drive. Very useful, if I were M$, I'd buy it and include it with Windows. (2) CCleaner (former Crap Cleaner) - analyzes all temp spaces in Windows, and deletes everything from them - also can be run from an external drive. It also has a wonderful registry cleaner than has never failed me. Sorry this has little to do with Linux but it really surprised me. ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
