I received a report to stdout during the cleanup process of yum update while updating from RHEL 5.2 to RHEL 5.3. Cleanup : systemtap-runtime ##################### [649/754] /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.11477: line 25: [: 7814VERSION: integer _expression_ expected I researched the issue on both RedHat's KB as well as the internet at large, and it does not seem to have been reported anywhere else. RPM reports that the version of systemtap-runtime is up to date and that the package is valid: $ rpm -qa | grep systemtap-runtime systemtap-runtime-0.7.2-2.el5 $ rpm -V systemtap-runtime-0.7.2-2.el5 (reports no errors) $ cat /etc/redhat-release Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.3 (Tikanga) $ uname -srvo Linux 2.6.18-128.1.1.el5xen #1 SMP Mon Jan 26 14:34:58 EST 2009 GNU/Linux systemtap is not a tool that I'm aware is directly or actively used in day-to-day operation of the server. RHN techs have not been jumping out of their chairs to provide feedback. I'm looking for any useful information I can find related to the report. Has anyone experienced this? TIA. mark ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
