Last weekend I upgraded my desktop machine from etch to lenny. Most things went well. I have an NVidia 6600GT AGP video card and had been using the NVidia driver downloaded directly from their website. When I upgraded the kernel image (from the etch-backports one to the lenny one) I decided to try the debian packages. It installed and works except that I have no OpenGL support...anything reqiring OpenGL crashes. I have: linux-image-2.6-686 (which pulls in:) linux-image-2.6.26-2-686 nvidia-kernel-2.6-686 (which pulls in:) nvidia-kernel-2.6.26-2-686 nvidia-glx nvidia-glx-dev (installed this in case it helped, but it didn't). xorg.conf is from etch, I looked at it but didn't see anything that needed changing. If it helps I am using lenny's KDE (3.5.9) on an old (socket 939) Athlon 64 system. Is anyone using the debian nvidia packages successfully?
