I am trying to understand Debian packaging with a view to creating a Debian binary package for GT.M (http://fis-gtm.com & http://sf.net/projects/fis-gtm). A source package will probably take longer because the way GT.M is built is a little unconventional, but a binary package is a good place to start. Some questions, please: 1. We have the name "gtm" from lanana.org. It is not clear to me from the rules at lanana.org whether this means I should put GT.M in /opt/gtm or /opt/lsb-gtm. 2. Should I call the package fis-gtm (the name we have on Source Forge), lsb-gtm or just gtm? Thank you very much, in advance, for your opinions / advice.
