You might find www.tldp.org ("The Linux Documentation Project") helpful
when hunting for a specific solution. As far as certificates, this may
help: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/SSL-Certificates-HOWTO/
TLDP isn't usually distro-specific, but should work across most Linux
flavors. It should nicely complement the Ubuntu resources mentioned by
Eric a few minutes ago.
