The biggest issue I have had was talking with other people. ÂIt's not something I do much with video chat, but when I do, Skype is often the best thing to use because of people using Windows. Â Otherwise one has
to boot windows to use MSN messenger or AIM or whatever.

Everybody in my family uses skype (even my 85 y/o grandma), it's simply the best software out there for video calls. The quality is amazing with skype 5 and an HD camera. Put that on full screen on the living room's TV and enjoy !

Comprared to that, google phone, xmpp video and anything else if not even remotely as nice.

But I have hopes ! Go XMPP, go !
