Re: [PLUG] Meeting mailing list? |
Date: Fri, 16 Sep 2011 02:33:43 -0400 From: Andrew Keyes <akeyes@gmail.com> Isn't the announce list already a separate mailing list?
I forgot we already had that!
Date: Fri, 16 Sep 2011 10:03:21 -0400 From: Rich Freeman<r-plug@thefreemanclan.net> Announce is a separate list - but I have no idea if it is no-digest-only (granted, I have no idea why you'd use digest on a low-volume list like that).
Obviously if you think about it a digest is unnecessary and defeats the purpose; the disallow digest thought was just a fail-safe.
However, a suggestion would be to give everybody who coordinates a meeting site write access to the announce list. It would only be used in emergencies like the one we just had.
Interestingly, when I click the http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug-announce/ link I am silently re-directed to http://lists.netisland.net/archives/plug/...
So I'm not really sure if this list really exists or works. But if working it would solve the problem, if we remember to use it.
