[PLUG] verizon dsl static external address

 i want to provide godaddy with the address provided by verizon for my external interface
(westell modem bridged to linksys router)

they send an address via dhcp that seems to change frequently enough.
can i get them to provide a static ip for a homenet?

options, other than dyndns?
