[PLUG] Developing Portable Mobile Web Applications... |
PLUG West crowd, In case you were in on the discussion at the end of the table about developing portable phone apps, across iOS and Android, here's the link that Paul Shelton pointed me to: Developing Portable Mobile Web Applications. http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/10789 It's an interesting article about how to write a phone web app that runs on both iOS and Android, and how to make it seem to the user like a native app on both platforms. Basically, it's using some stuff from HTML5, plus things like PhoneGap to gain access to native features and gain portability. (Paul, I thought you said it was an article from the current issue. This one is a year old. Am I looking at the right article? Or did you find a more current one?)
