Re: [PLUG] Linux distributions without version upgrades

I've used Ubuntu for years, and have been using Unity on my 10in thinkpad tablet.

Other than the dash opening too easily their aren't too many issued. OK, I may not ike the way apps auto-maximize, and perhaps a few other thing but nothing really bothers me, it's just different and hopefully getting better.

A lot of the features work well on my 10 in screen, and it does look nice.

Me three.

I used SuSE until the KDE 3.5 -> 4.0 debacle. I jumped to Ubuntu and have come to really appreciate Ubuntu and especially the Debian package management system - even if Gnome lacked KDE's flexibility. Now I'm using 10.04 LTS and I dread moving to Unity. I installed it on a laptop a few weeks ago and was I not impressed at all.

I'm going to try Kubuntu in a VM this week. LinuxMint looks nice but does seem to be too "Windows-like." I'm not sure where to go from here but Unity is a deal-breaker for me.
