[PLUG] Any potential downsides to enabling usrquota on / ?

Howdy all,
I'm working to enable user quotas on a new cluster and, unfortunately,
the cluster vendor's default is to put /home on the head node's /
partition. I would have no problem in enabling quotas and remounting
/home, were it a separate partition, but something strikes me as
problematic about enabling them on the root.

Am I worried about nothing, or are there potential pitfalls, should I
enable usrquota on root?

Thanks.
