[PLUG] Any potential downsides to enabling usrquota on / ? |
Howdy all, I'm working to enable user quotas on a new cluster and, unfortunately, the cluster vendor's default is to put /home on the head node's / partition. I would have no problem in enabling quotas and remounting /home, were it a separate partition, but something strikes me as problematic about enabling them on the root. Am I worried about nothing, or are there potential pitfalls, should I enable usrquota on root? Thanks. -- -Doug ___________________________________________________________________________ Philadelphia Linux Users Group -- http://www.phillylinux.org Announcements - http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug-announce General Discussion -- http://lists.phillylinux.org/mailman/listinfo/plug
