[PLUG] OT: LHC experiment

FYI,

The biggest scientific experiment ever ( a 17 mile circumference Synchrotron at CERN ) and it likely runs mostly Linux. Here are some links from a short to a full documentary.

Short:

TED talk:

The hunt for Higgs: (BBC documentary)

Notice the extensive security interlocks for personnel, not only to keep people out
but to count # of entries and make sure the entire complex is clear of people when
the power is turned on.
