I long ago decided it was too much work to keep spam assassin, a database
and mailserver etc up to date just for a few mailboxes so I use a hosting
company for my primary email even though I have plenty of resources and bandwidth
to do it locally. But then I use it for my consulting business and
personal use. I also have a standalone open-source
copy of Zimbra locally that I'm experimenting with - not sure what
exactly the limits are with that as the sync for iPHone and Android
are different. Contact me off-list if you want to evaluate either one.

There was another solution named "SoGo" mentioned in my talk that
uses Thunderbird and it's Calendar , but it never seemed to fully work
with Android either and they seemed to be selling support just to get
it working. But I tested a year ago, not sure it's current state.
