If you have plenty of time, you can try Spinrite from GRC, it doesn't
always work, but despite its slowness and inability to boot from USB
without a great deal of effort, it has been well worth its purchase cost
to me.
When it doesn't work, the only thing that has worked has been data
recovery companies, and they are not always reliable or honest.
