Thanks to any responders I completely sympathize - many of us are old-timers, but I think just about everybody would be eager to help out somebody new. It might not hurt if you'd suggest topics that were interesting to you. I think one of the reasons we don't get a lot of newbie topics is that we don't have a lot of newbies at meetings, or at least we can't rely on them being there. The idea of having a newbie night has been tossed out a few times. Just about everybody who attends could probalby give a newbie-oriented presentation on something I imagine.
