Re: [PLUG] Child Proofing my Home Network

Gavin
You are correct. I am currently using OpenDNS. It is just one thing to put in place that buys me time to do more. It all comes down to teaching her the correct way and teaching her that there are rules that we all have to abide by in life. Suffice it to say this is just the tip of the iceberg in this little girls life. All I can do is the best I can.

Hi, John.

I recommend going minimalist, if this isn't for yourself and not
immediately accessible for fixes.  The most minimal thing would be to
set OpenDNS DNS on the existing modem/router LAN settings tab.  Done!  I
think I may do this myself sometime soon.

I have a feeling that deploying a more complex solution will prompt much
eye-rolling when its movie night and everyone has to sit patiently while
you fiddle with the pi/ddwrt/whatever for an hour.  I've been there, and
done with that!  :D

Cheers.
